Two friends. One vision.
Our story
In 2018, longtime online friends Will, an industrial designer and Jason, an optician hadn't met in person untill a mutual friend's wedding. Both were VR users and both had the same problem: Wearing glasses in VR was terrible.
The scratched lenses, the frame pressure and headaches. There had to be a better solution than what was currently available. Jason had some ideas from his many years in the optical industry but hadn't fleshed them out yet.
He presented his ideas to Will, and they reached an agreement to work together on a solution. They aimed for a blend of traditional eyewear aesthetics with ergonomic features prioritizing user comfort.

Reloptix sources their lenses from the same companies that white label lenses for a lot of the big names in the optical industry, cutting out the middle-man. This ensures high quality at a lower price and allows us to offer a larger array of lens powers and coatings for a flat rate.

Timeline
2019
Initial Design and Development
R&D started in the later part of 2019 on the Quest 1 and Rift S. Many different designs with quick detach features we're posed but none match the ease of removal and versatility of magnetic attachment.
Easy removal also meant ease of retrieval which seemed to be a issue with several of the units on the market. This is where the tab we include on most of our inserts comes in, giving the user a soft, tactile portion to grab and not come in contact with the lenses.
2020
Company Founding and Kickstarter
Like most companies, the beginning of 2020 brought development to a temporary standstill. The middle of 2020 saw a major ramp up and after many prototypes we're tested, an eventual final production model was agreed upon.
Jason and Will proceeded to focus on establishing production and commencing a Kickstarter endeavor for funding. The outcome of this campaign was not as anticipated, yet they pressed on by personally financing Reloptix and upholding the support of a large portion of their contributors.
2021
Early Success
Design and production was entirely in-house, utilizing Jason's basement as a lens lab and Will's home office as a design studio. Leveraging their established presence in the online VR community, word-of-mouth sales began to occur.
VR groups and influencers started to recognize Reloptix, building a name for quality and customer service within the VR community.
2022
Company Expands
With exceptional products and diligent customer service. Expansion was certain. Reloptix advances to a fulfillment center to manage rising demand.
Upon addressing the challenges and enhancing the fresh supply chain, sales commence to escalate, setting new company benchmarks.
2023 - Present
Plans for expansion
With a global vision, Reloptix is working on offering improved shipping rates, with the UK in mind.
Additional areas are being considered to aid in fulfillment efforts in Europe.
the way these even attach around the quest3 lens frame, it feels like Reloptix found some hidden attachment there. genius.
the bulk of the insert is very minimal. i like to wear my headset close to my eyes as possible, and while i can feel my brows on top of the inserts it's not uncomfortable. if anything it keeps the hmd more stable.
overall, clarity is phenomenal. i don't wear glasses (yet), only recently had my eyes checked and while i have a mild prescription (-1, +1) in VR it makes such a world of difference.
feels almost like upgrading from fresnel lenses to pancake again 😅

Holy Frigging Impressed!
Just got my lenses and have to say..
For being one of the cheapest options out there, you absolutely hit the 'Presentation' ball out of the friggin park!
Custom printed box!
Protective CASE is not just wrapped in tissue, but the tissue is folded over on 2 sides to make a clean, no-papercut edge
The plastic case isn't rocket science, but considering that the competition is simply using a blow-molded condom-shaped bump of a "case", this thing absolutely rocks! Sure, it's just plastic. But the detail!!
Inside the box.. a hand signed thank you card!
Below that, the lenses... in protective pouches similar to what Oakley sends for all of their glasses
And then, to top off the "WAY more than over the top" lens-cleaning towel that's not only double-folded with tissue paper but also die-sublimated with the company logo.
Is any of this absolutely amazing? No
But considering that it's just a pair of pop-in lenses for a $500 VR glasses (I have a Quest 3), and that it's all done for ONE product... THAT'S what puts these dudes over the top!!
AMAZING friggin work! Too bad this level of care is no longer applied to all products. This was absolutely a rarity!
Don't forget the 3" company logo sticker under the cleaning cloth.

The lens are easy to install. If you are planning to buy for your psvr2. Please be aware that it will take at least one month to get to you, depending of the demand even more. The customer support is fast and they answered any inquiry that i had while waiting. I guess their price is very competitive compared to other brands. I am planning to buy another non prescription lenses now that I am not nervous while waiting for one to protect my headset
Got this for my Quest 3 and it is AMAZING! I was skeptical at first, but after playing a couple of games it is perfect! The lenses were super easy to clip in too. You can’t even tell that there is a secondary lens in place. Recommending this to my friends that also just got headsets. Thank You Reloptix for making such a great product!

I love these. I don't have to shove my glasses into the headset, and although my script was for trifocal glasses, these lenses are perfect and i can see crystal clear. Thank you !
I got a Quest 2 as a Christmas present, but didn't use it a lot--too painful to wear with my glasses. The Reloptix fixed that, and now I can play for hours!
Great quality product and packaged well. Quick communication on Discord. Took around 3 weeks to receive, worth the wait. Much clearer than wearing my glasses now. Very happy!

Works perfectly
Had a feeling they weren't going to be great, especially since the Meta suggested Zenni lenses wouldnt accept my prescription for being too strong. Im glad to say my expectations were exceeded! They work great, ship nicely protected in soft bags with a hardshell case and microfiber cloth. The prescription feels identical to my glasses, no headaches or getting used to them. Pleasantly surprised, would highly recommend to anyone who wears glasses with a VR headset.
